Album / Altayskaya '1997

Note. Altayskaya cave is located in Altay region, Seminsky ridge, near Cheremshanka village. Length 4175 m, depth −240 m. Currently, the most difficult cave in Siberia. Difficulty degree: 4A (Soviet system).

Altayskaya cave is the ultimate dream of every caver in Siberia. Being the most difficult one it still retains unexplored passages. The reason? It is so f***g hard that sometimes, when you get to the place you don't have any balls left. All what you want is to get out of there. That time we didn't plan anything cool. All what we wanted to do is to reach the base camp in the "AlGU grotto" (−200 m) and walk around a bit, to the bottom and to "Giants" system. Everything went smoothly for the first time in the diggers history.
